Leiza

Leiza, the Everlasting Light is the goddess of Light, Order, Justice and Creation, daughter of the Allmother and sister of Norven. She represents peace, serenity and the status quo. She impersonates the Sun and daylight. Her symbol is a white oak tree surmounted by a yellow sun.

Although she is often seen as a good and positive entity she is not a benevolent god per se. Among the various traits assigned to her, she is also the goddess of both life and death, the two forces that keep the world in equilibrium. She is often associated with diseases and famine, and her character is often described as short-tempered and fickle. The catastrophe known as the Last Light, for example, is said to have been cast by Leiza as a punishment.

She is particularly venerated in Araelith, where the Church of the Last Light has its seat and exerts the most influence.
